Dr. Ken Moore

I am a Doctor of Chiropractic because I was first a patient.

I was injured playing high school football. I was struck in my low back causing sharp stabbing low back pain. I could hardly walk after that. Like so many people I didn’t seek out any care, I figured it would just go away. Over the next 4 months the pain did go away but the problem was still there. Finally after suffering from on and off chronic low back pain I went to an orthopedist when I was 25. Because there were no fractures or dislocations his diagnosis was for me to lose weight (wasn’t overweight) and move south.

Finally a friend told me about chiropractic so I went to one who used the Gonstead Methodology. Dr. Dennis Schone in the Columbus Ohio area was the chiropractor I saw and the results were incredible! I expressed my interest in becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic and he spent the time to instruct and guide me in how to get the ball rolling. Dr. Schone was professional and kind and always had time to answer my questions. That’s what I wanted to be to my patients.

Chiropractic Education

I went to Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX based on Dr. Schone’s recommendation. He said it was the premier school in chiropractic to attend as it is considered the Harvard of chiropractic. The first two years parallel that of medical school with courses in Anatomy, Embryology, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Next came the chiropractic techniques classes.

The technique I chose to concentrate in was the Gonstead Methodology. It is a very difficult technique to master but one that gives great results when learned correctly. The key to the Gonstead Methodology I found out was specificity. Learn to identify the correct vertebral subluxation and you will get good results every time. I even worked for a Gonstead chiropractor while in chiropractic school for two and a half years to gain real life chiropractic experience.

One time while I was in the out-patient clinic I had a young lady as a patient complaining of low back pain. She never really told me how much it interfered with her daily activities until one day she and her husband both came into the clinic for treatment and both with tears in their eyes. For the longest time they were not able to have any children because it was just too painful to even try. Well she was pregnant because she no longer had any low back pain. I was thrilled for them and learned first hand the power of Chiropractic!

My Practice Goals are Simple..

At our Denton chiropractic office the goal is to help as many people in the Denton community and surrounding areas get out of pain.

Pain can be debilitating both physically and emotionally. Patients have come in using walkers crutches and even in their pajamas because the back pain was so intense they could hardly walk. Within a week of chiropractic care they were nearly pain free. Patients with severe headaches and nausea holding on to a trash can just in case they get sick again.

Seeing those patients back on track within days is wonderful. In order to get these great results, I use the Gonstead methodology exclusively at Moore Chiropractic Center.
